Elevator failures often occur in life, and elevator failures mainly refer to the abnormality of elevator mechanical parts or components in the electrical control system, causing the elevator to not work normally or seriously affecting the comfort of the ride, and even causing personal injury or The phenomenon of equipment accidents. Next, let's talk about the basic knowledge of elevator troubleshooting? The definition of elevator? Let's take a look at the relevant knowledge, and hope to help you.

Basic knowledge of elevator troubleshooting

Fault refers to the abnormality of the components in the electrical control system or the mechanical parts of the elevator, which causes the elevator to not work normally or seriously affects the comfort of the ride, and even causes personal injury or equipment accidents.

(1) Common failure phenomena and causes of mechanical systems are as follows:

1. Due to poor lubrication or failure of the lubrication system, the rotating parts of the components are seriously heated and worn or the shaft is hung, resulting in the destruction of the parts in the rolling or sliding parts.

2. Due to the frequent use of the elevator, some parts are worn and aged, and the maintenance is not in place. Failure to replace or repair the worn parts in time, resulting in further expansion of damage and forcing the elevator to stop.

3. Some fastening screws are loosened or loosened due to vibration during the operation of the elevator, causing some parts, especially moving parts, to work abnormally, causing damage to the elevator.

4. Due to the imbalance of the elevator balance coefficient, or severe overload, the elevator car shakes greatly or the leveling accuracy is poor, the elevator speed is out of control, or even rushes to the top or bottom, causing the speed limiter-safety gear to link and the elevator stops.

(2) When the elevator mechanical system fails, the maintenance worker should ask the elevator driver, manager or passenger to understand the situation and phenomenon of the failure. If the elevator can still run, the driver/manager can use the jog mode to make the elevator run up and down, and the maintenance worker can analyze and judge the fault point by hearing, touching, and measuring.

(3) After the failure point is determined, carefully disassemble, clean, inspect and measure according to the requirements of the relevant technical specifications, determine the cause of the failure through the inspection, and repair or replace the parts according to the degree of wear and damage.

(4) After the elevator parts are repaired or replaced, they must be carefully inspected and debugged before being put into operation before they can be delivered to use.

Definition of elevator

(1) Elevator: It is a fixed lifting transportation equipment used in high-rise buildings. It has a passenger car that runs between floors along a guide rail with a vertical or inclined angle of less than 15°.

(2) Car: It is the part similar to the car that directly carries passengers. Generally, it is a closed box after the door is closed.

(3) Car door: The door of the car, which is automatically opened and closed as seen by passengers from inside the car. It runs up and down along with the car.

(4) Floor door (or hall door): The door set at the entrance of the elevator on each floor. It does not run up and down with the elevator, but opens or closes together with the car door.

(5) Call box (or call box): It is set beside the elevator entrance door on each floor. Generally, there are two buttons with arrows on the top and bottom for passengers to use when calling the car to the station.

(6) Car control panel: Installed on the inner wall of the car, there are digital buttons representing each floor, door opening and closing buttons and emergency call buttons, which are mainly used by passengers to select the destination floor after entering the elevator.

(7) Escalator: a cascade with circular operation, a transportation equipment used to continuously transport passengers up or down. Intuitively, it looks like a moving staircase, accompanied by a moving handrail.

(8) Moving walkway: a circular running walkway, like a leveled escalator, is generally used for the transportation of passengers whose horizontal or inclination angle is not more than 12° and the items carried by passengers.

The above-mentioned basic knowledge of elevator troubleshooting and all the knowledge of elevator definition, I hope to help everyone. When we use elevators, we must have a certain understanding of some basic knowledge of elevator failures in order to be better. If there is a problem in the future, it is easy to solve the problem. So you can read more about the content above.
